Dental Technology

What is Dental Technology?

With technology continually advancing, we like to be at the forefront of what is available to our patients. This allows us to provide more accurate diagnoses and preferred treatment results for patients who are in need of care. We always welcome new technology into our office because we feel it isn’t just beneficial for the outcome of your treatment, but to your comfort level as well. We are open to discussing any and all of the technologies that we use in our office.

What Dental Technology Do We Use?

We make use of 2D digital radiographs in our practice. This enables us to take x-ray images of your teeth and mouth without having to develop film. The images are taken and immediately transposed onto our computer screens for further viewing. Another technology that we use is known as intraoral scanning, which enables us to take a digital impression rather than using trays filled with gooey, sticky impression material.

Dr. Patel does excellent work, and cares for his patients’ overall health. I was impressed by his new office, and the way in which his staff treats patients as well.

What Are The Benefits Of Dental Technology

What Are the Benefits of Dental Technology?

Digital technology used in our office enables us to improve patient comfortable while enhancing diagnostic results. For example, our intraoral scanning option is great for patients who may not necessarily do well with regular impressions. What’s more, intraoral scanning can take more accurate impressions of your teeth when being used to create restorations. Digital 2D x-rays are faster and provide us with instant images to review.

What Can Be Expected When Utilizing Dental Technology?

We are open about discussing all of the technologies that we use in our office. We take the time to educate all patients on the different machinery and devices being used. This improves your ability to receive the treatment that is right for you. For 2D digital x-rays, the process is easier and quicker than if traditional x-rays were used. There is no wait time for you to see the images after they’ve been taken. The same can be said about our intraoral scanning device and the accurate images it is able to capture for restoration creation. We are always looking for the latest and most state-of-the-art technologies to integrate into our practice.
