Cosmetic Botox
What is Botox?
Botox has been deemed safe, and is FDA-cleared and approved. This means that you can feel safe in receiving treatment using Botox injections for both medical and aesthetic reasons. Most side effects of Botox are specific to the injection site, and involve swelling, tenderness, and pain. However, the benefits of Botox far outweigh any of the side effects that may occur. Most patients who need or want Botox can have the procedure done safely in our office.
At Total Implants & Periodontics, we customize Botox & Dysport treatments for every patient, instead of treating everyone the same. We can give a lift to brows, smooth wrinkles, enhance lips, and we use it in a way that still looks natural — so our patients can still express themselves normally. When you have good Botox, it looks like you haven’t had Botox! That’s what we strive to achieve at Total Implants & Periodontics.
As dental professionals, we are highly trained in the anatomy of the head and neck as well as the oral cavity. We inject patients at almost every dental procedure and are extremely comfortable with painless and precise injection techniques. We pay close attention to the nerves, arteries and muscles of the face and work with exceptional accuracy. Whether we’re restoring a patient’s front teeth during a smile makeover or injecting Botox into the forehead to reduce wrinkles, our goal is the same – to produce natural looking, esthetically pleasing results.
Our provider, Drashti ‘Dee’ NP, will carefully analyze your facial muscles and customize a neuromodulator treatment just right for you. She follows a conservative approach and strongly believes in achieving subtle, natural looking results. Patients appreciate the fact that they leave the office looking better, not “fake” or “overdone”. The key here is aiming for natural beauty. “I’m happiest when my patients look like the best version of themselves,” says Dee.
Dr. Patel does excellent work, and cares for his patients’ overall health. I was impressed by his new office, and the way in which his staff treats patients as well.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Botox is so readily available everywhere. Why get it at Total Implants & Periodontics?
A: First and foremost, it comes down to the quality of the results. Our patients tell us that although they have been happy with their Botox outcome in the past with other providers, the results we are able to achieve for them are far better. That is because we are very precise and methodical in planning each case: we assess the muscle position and tone and we plan each and every injection point. Our provider’s delivery is very meticulous and customized – the results are beautiful and natural looking. Patients also choose us because of the convenience of combining their dental hygiene visits with their Botox treatments every 4 to 6 months.
Q: What areas of the face do you treat with Botox?
A: We treat the face as a whole and use Botox to make the muscles work harmoniously. As higher-level injectors, we inject many more areas than other providers do, specifically in the lower face. We know how to successfully and predictably inject areas that other injectors ignore, such as the chin, jaw, and around the mouth. Additionally, the most common facial areas treated with Botox are the frown lines between the eyes, forehead lines, and crow’s feet. Other facial areas that can be improved with Botox®/Dysport® include the chin, “bunny lines” on the bridge of the nose, vertical lines around the lips, jaw muscles, and in the neck. Our provider understands the science and art of using Botox and Dysport and customize a treatment plan for each patient with the aim of achieving natural-appearing beauty.
How it Works
1 – Consultation
Prior to the treatment you will meet with our highly-trained, expert injector for an in-depth consultation where she will examine your skin, review your medical history, and discuss your goals. We will also go over your post-procedure instructions during this time to make sure you are well prepared on what to expect.
2 – Treatment Plan
If we deem you as a qualified candidate for the procedure, we will tailor an individualized treatment plan suitable to your needs. Most times we are able to accommodate a consultation and treatment in the same appointment.
3 – Injection
Once both the provider and patient agree on a recommended treatment plan, our expert injector will administer the Botox/Dysport to the targeted facial muscles. Our injector goes the extra mile to ensure each treatment is as comfortable as possible. In addition to various other measures, we also incorporate the use of a vibratory tool to help enhance your comfort throughout the procedure. On average, the effects from the treatment become noticeable at 2 weeks and results last up to 3, sometimes 4 months. It is imperative to keep up with treatments every 3-4 months in order to prevent lines from further etching and deepening into your skin.
